How much does an Italian translation cost? Understanding your quote

Andreea Hărămiță · 14 September 2026

Translation prices depend on the actual text and the service requested. The number of sheets is a starting point, but does not describe the workload on its own.

Physical pages and translation pages

A sheet containing a few lines and a densely written sheet do not have the same volume. We use a reference translation page of 2,000 characters, including spaces. How this applies and the total cost are specified in the quote. As an illustration, 6,000 characters represent three calculation pages; this example is not a price and does not replace document assessment.

Other factors affecting the price

The language pair, terminology complexity, readability and formatting can change the time required. A large table or a document with many annexes may need additional checking. Mention at the outset if you need a layout that closely follows the original structure.

Urgent work is confirmed separately

State the date and time by which you need the translation. A very short deadline can only be accepted depending on availability and document volume. Any additional charge is communicated before work starts. Do not consider an urgent deadline confirmed simply because you have submitted the form.

What the quote should include

Check that the quote specifies the language, documents covered, price, deadline and delivery format. Additional copies, shipping and requested formalities are discussed separately. If you change the document after receiving a quote, send the new version for reassessment.

How to find out the price for your document

Upload a complete, readable copy and explain the purpose of the translation. Authorised translations are available between Romanian and Italian in both directions; English translations are standard. The quote is tailored to your document, and work begins after you accept it.
